On October 17 at Dechen Chokorlingnunnery in Sichuan’s Aba Tibetan District, a 20-year-old nun, Tenzin Wamgmo, committed self-immolation and burned to death. According to reports, this is the ninth incidence of Buddhist monks or nuns committing self-immolation as a form of protest since March of this year.
