On September 3, Beijing’s Second Intermediate Court heard a case concerning cosmetics smuggling by a former flight attendant. Li, the defendant, worked as a flight attendant; after leaving her job, she opened an online shop named ‘The Flight Attendant’s Little Shop’ on Taobao. From 2010 to 2011 August, Li, together with co-defendants Zhu and Shi, purchased cosmetic products overseas and brought them into China via the Nothing-to-Declare Channel, evading taxes of more than 1.13 million RMB.
