On January 4, a group of netizens published a “Public Appeal to the Authorities for the Lifting of Restrictions Imposed on the Reuniting of Hua Chunhui and Wang Yi”, demanding the local authorities of Wuxi City to be humane, to uphold the law, and to allow Hua Chunhui and Wang Yi to be reunited.
