Chinese Wife Who Petitioned to Beijing with American Husband Was Treated with Respect

Shanghai citizen Jiang Qin went to Beijing for petition with her American husband on June 18, 2012, as her house was demolished by the government of Shanghai City Changning District. That day, they stayed in a hotel in Beijing. At around 9:35pm that evening, several policemen entered their room by reason of night patrol. As they saw the American husband, the policemen immediately report to their supervisor. Jiang Qin was then allowed to “petition legally”. Luggage check was also exempted once the policemen learned that the luggage belonged to the American husband.
