Supreme People’s Court Regulates Compulsory Enforcement of Court Decrees for

Expropriation of Buildings on State-owned Land and Compensation

On April 9, the Supreme People’s Court announced the “Regulation on Certain Issues

Regarding Application for Cases of Compulsory Enforcement on Expropriation of

Buildings on State-owned Land and Compensation”, among which it was stipulated that

the courts should not allow expropriation which apparently violates the principle of fair

compensation, causes severe violations of the legal rights of the judgment debtor, or

results in the judgment debtor being unable to maintain daily life or normal business

operation.
