Hit-and-Run Driver in Xiao Yueyue Case Sentenced to 2.5 Years in Prison

On October 13, 2011, a 2-year-old girl, “Xiao Yueyue”, was hit and crushed by two vehicles one after another at “Huangqi Guangfo” hardware shop in Nanhai District, Foshan City. She was left lying there while 18 other people passed by without helping for 7 minutes. In the end, a scrap collector came to help, and the whole tragedy caused a public uproar. After days of emergency rescue, on October 21, Xiao Yueyue died.
