Nine Judges in Guangdong’s Zhanjiang Court Schemed with Pettifogger to Make a Profit

Huang Shenger is the proprietor of Zhanjiang Shenger Real Estate Corporation, but his company’s most remarkable business is filing lawsuits on behalf of the original creditors after purchasing creditors’ rights.

In late 2001, Zhanjiang Number Two Transportation Company entrusted the Shenger Corporation to sue the Rongzhan Real Estate Development Company, a subsidiary of the Zhanjiang branch of the Bank of China, on its behalf. According to the agreement, Shenger Corporation was to assume responsibility for litigation fees in exchange for a 60% share of the money generated by the lawsuit. Through these proceedings, Shenger Corporation earned five million RMB in profit.
