Inciting Subversion of State Power Charge against Chen Pingfu Is Dropped in Rare Example

Chen Pingfu, 55, was a teacher of a state-owned factory’s school for employees. After the factory went bankrupt, Chen played violin on the street to earn money for a living. In August of 2012, he was charged with inciting subversion of state power for his writing and reposting articles online. The trial was delayed three times after hearings held on September 4th.
