Liu Yanfeng, 20-year-old, a sophomore majoring in administrative management and class president at China Three Gorges University.

In the early morning of August 26, 2012, upon serious traffic accident that caused 36 deaths in the Yan'an area of Shaanxi province, bureau chief of Shaanxi Administration of Work Safety Yang Dacai, wearing a luxury watch, arrived at the scene with a smile. Facing public controversy, Yang Dacai responded that he had purchased 5 watches in total with his salary. Suspicious of Yang Dacai’s claim, Liu Yanfeng requested the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Finance and Administration of work Safety to release Yang Dacai’s 2011 annual salary on September 1. Shaanxi Provincial Department of Finance refused, claiming that the matter was not within the public sphere; the Administration of Work Safety did not respond. Liu Yanfeng then entrusted a lawyer to file a suit against the two government bodies in Lianhu District, Xi’an City, insisting them to respond according to law. Now Liu Yanfeng has become an online “celebrity” among college student.
