Real Name System for Buying Cold and Flu Medicines Implemented in Several Provinces

Recently, Beijing Bureau of Drugs Administration begins to require residents to show their IDs before purchasing compound preparation containing ephedrine. Similarly, Zhejiang Province Public Security Bureau also requires that, from September 10, medicine retailers in Zhejiang Province have to record the name, address, quantity of medicine purchased and other relevant information of any purchaser of compound preparation containing ephedrine; retailers are also forbidden to sell more then 5 boxes of non-prescribed medicine to a purchaser in each sale.
