China Trains Judges of Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States

Wang Shengjun, President of the Supreme People’s Court, recently announced that this

year, China’s Supreme People’s Court will provide a “Training Program on Chinese

Legal and Judicial System” for twenty-five judges from the five Shanghai Cooperation

Organization member states other than China.

Since the first conference was held in 2006, substantial results have been achieved in

fighting against the “three forces” (violent terrorist forces, ethnic separatist forces, and

religious extremist forces), transnational crimes, drug smuggling, illegal immigrations

and other areas. The Conference of the Presidents of the Supreme Courts of the SCO

Member States is in charge of the judicial communication and cooperation between SCO

member states. Since 2006, these countries have been working together to fight against

violent terrorist forces, ethnic separatist forces and religious extremist forces, in addition

to other collaborations.
