Siemens Irritated Consumers, Luo Yonghao Angrily Smashed Siemens Refrigerators in Public

Network celebrity Luo Yonghao convened a “Siemens Refrigerator Communication Meeting” at the Beijing Haidian Theater on December 20, inviting local media and participants to smash more than ten refrigerators.

On November 20, Luo Yonghao and some volunteers went to the Beijing headquarter of Siemens and smashed three defective refrigerators, with an intent to defend consumers’ rights by urging Siemens to admit the quality problems of its products and to recall all defective refrigerators.

On December 4, Siemens’s person-in-charge in China insisted that only an extremely small amount of its refrigerators had defective doors which could not be closed tightly. However, Luo’s investigation reviewed that all of Siemens’s double-door refrigerators were not installed with door-closing machine, which was essential for doors to be closed tightly.
