Stay of Execution Granted to Beijing Xicheng Court Head Judge Who Accepted Eight Million RMB in Bribes

On October 30, the First Beijing Intermediate Court ordered a reprieve of the death penalty for the former president of the Xicheng Court, Guo Shenggui, convicted of bribery and graft. The court ruled that Guo had illegally acquired 8 million RMB between February 1999 and May 2007.
