Supor’s Trading License Suspended Due to Poor Product Quality

On February 16, CNTV revealed that 81 cookwares of Supor, China’s leading small-size household appliances producer, failed to meet the required product standards. In particular, the manganese content of Supor’s steel pots exceeds the national standard by four times, leading to the risk of Parkinson’s disease. Following the media exposure, Supor denied the allegation. It maintained that the metal contents of its products were within national standards, and that its products complied with all product safety requirements.
