The Xu Yunhe Case in Tianjin

Tianjin resident Xu Yunhe and 70-year-old Wang Xiuzhi got into a dispute near Hongqi road in Hongqiao district. According to Wang, Xu’s Compact passenger car had hit her, knocking her down; whilst Xu maintained that he had stopped his car voluntarily in order to get out and help Wang. On June 16, 2011, the Tianjin Hongqiao District Court ruled that Xu was responsible to compensate Wang by a sum of over 180,000 RMB.
